Changes in leadership are abound in the cannabis industry this month, this time for giant Aurora Cannabis.

Terry Booth, a co-founder of the Canada-based cannabis giant, has stepped down from the Board of Directors effective June 26, according to a press release.

"On behalf of our Board of Directors and management team, I would like to thank Terry for his leadership over the years and for his tenure as a director,"  Michael Singer, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO of Aurora said in the press release published on Yahoo Finance.

“As one of the original cannabis visionaries, Terry leaves an enviable legacy in the form of Aurora Cannabis. He helped set the table for the Company to lead in Canada and globally, and we continue to execute our plan to do so profitably,” Singer continued.

Booth stepped down as CEO of the company in February, according to MJ Biz Daily.

The publication also reported Aurora recorded a net loss of $137 million in its most recent quarter.

Booth’s departure comes in the wake of the departure of MedMen’s cofounders who have also recently resigned from the board.
