Massachusetts is getting closer to adding delivery service in the midst of a pandemic, this according to a report by boston.com.
According to the outlet, The Cannabis Control Commission is opening up licenses for third party companies hoping to deliver cannabis from recreational dispensaries to consumers's homes. Applications for said licenses will open on May 28.
Currently, medical marijuana can be delivered in the Bay State. Recreational cannot. As a result, Boston.com reports officials are concerned the lack of delivery for recreational weed “puts the legal industry at a competitive disadvantage with illicit drugs dealers, who have offered home delivery for years.”
Applicants will be able to apply online. https://www.massciportal.com/login-register
