Women in Cannabis: Blunt Brunch Hosts National Tour Event in Hollywood

Blunt Brunch, a networking organization for women executives in the cannabis industry co-founded by Parisa Rad and Adelia Carrillo, is heading to Hollywood.

Title sponsored by cannabis tech maven and Proteus 420 owner Dawne Morris (alongside fellow sponsors Rocket Seeds and Fourtwenty Collections), Blunt Brunch Hollywood will take place on Wednesday, July 27, at the Mayfair Hotel.

The event – Blunt Brunch’s second after their launch in Chicago in April – will act as an encouraging and empowering space for every woman in cannabis: from new entrepreneurs to seasoned professionals.

The organization’s first event boasted over 200 leading female cannabis executives from across the country and sponsorships from some of the country's largest multi-state operators, and they’re hoping to see even further expansion and collaboration in Hollywood.

“We knew we wanted to go big on the second stop of our tour. Hollywood is poised to become a cannabis epicenter and we can’t wait to bring together the stars of the industry under one spotlight,” Rad said.

Rad isn’t wrong: California collected nearly $1.3 billion in recreational marijuana tax revenue in 2021, out of more than $3.7 billion in revenue from all adult-use states combined, according to a Marijuana Policy Project report.

“I’m excited to return to my California roots and accelerate and mobilize more women in this industry as the 2022 national Blunt Brunch tour continues,” Carrillo added.

The Brunch will be twofold, including a VIP executive ballroom brunch from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and an afternoon rooftop social from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The second half will be entirely open to the public (ages 21+), aiming to bring together women entrepreneurs and professionals from cannabis markets throughout the entire nation.

Future stops on the 2022 Blunt Brunch tour include Scottsdale, Arizona, September 17, and Las Vegas, Nevada, November 15.
