Coronavirus may be revealing just how ingrained cannabis is in American culture.


Several states have been reporting hoarding of marijuana as Americans prepare to stock up to social distance and self-isolate in their homes.


Beyond the popularity of cannabis stockpiles is the fact that some states are considering dispensaries “essential” operations, allowed to stay open for business along with grocery stores and pharmacies.


Forbes has outlined state-by-state regulations in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis. While some states are only considering medical marijuana essential, others are considering recreational as essential too.
